I don’t know if this is what you need, but have a look at this and see if it helps. http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=311506

Wedor, may know how to setup so it will do that.

Can't find anything that seems relevant. I reinstalled Office and reconected Outlook to the user's MS Exchange profile.

What is happening now is that a box appears saying something along the lines of, You have a new message, would you like to view it now? Is there anyway I can turn this off so any new emails just automatically appear as normal instead of this message?

Have you looked in the options menu, tools, I am not sure if that is where that is located at.

I don't think that version checks by default for new mail, you have to set it to do that first and then that part should work.

I recently had to reformat a PC for a work colleague. All the software has been reinstalled no problem, however there is a slight issue with Outlook, I'm sure there must be a simple solution.

Basically the new email notification is not working. If you send an email to her address it does not show up automatically, only when I manually click on Inbox will any new emails appear. This is obviously far from ideal as the user has to keep clicking on it every couple of minutes to see if there are any new mails. Like I said I'm sure the solution is simple but it's bugging me now!

The version is Outlook 2000 by the way.

Cheers.
