Find the folder on the hard drive that outlook saves temp files to (usually a hidden OLK folder if the file you are opening has the same name (usually a file sent to you regularly) eg 123.csv (its not restricted to CSV files) outlook will save a temp file 123.csv, 123(1). CSV, 123(2). CSV and so on once you get to 99 you will get the error message simply locate and move or delete the files (remember the may not be in the an OLK folder i just found the last lot at the root of C:\ Happy hacking Dave IP: Logged |

A csv is not an Excel file it is a Comma Separated Values file, an Excel file would have a xls extension. You may be able to import the csv into Excel. Sometimes extensions are changed to allow the file to pass through the Outlook filters. You would need to ask the person who sent it to you. I have been sent an email with an Excel attachment with a .csv file extension. When I try to open it or try to save it I get the following message: "Can't create file: filename.csv. Right click the folder you want to create the file on, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder" Can anybody help me on this? I'm trying to open it from Outlook 2002 if it makes any odds? Cheers Kev IP: Logged |
