I am thinking the same thing; did you loose the burning software that came with your cd-rw?

What OS are you using that you think you need a driver for in the first place?

Unless you are using something ancient (pre Win98) drivers are not required for that type of device.

I went to the site, and it did have drivers listed below the diagnostic tools, but I do not know if they will work with his hardware. If not then I am pretty sure the diagnostic tools you provided will tell us what we need to know to get the correct drivers.

Not a ble to locate a driver for a replacement cd-rw drive i just installed. This drive came from a friend of mine who took it out of a new machine to upgrade to a dvd-rom. I have ran the install wizard and it recognizes that its in there, but says the device is not ready
The mod# CR-489ATE manufactured by Mitsumi. Any help on this would great.
