Okay go to any picture you would want to open with Adobe, right click the picture, then go to open with another window will open up then scroll down till you see Adobe, then check the always use this program to open this type of file. Then, click ok and from now on it that type of picture should open with adobe, unless a program or you changes it. If that does not work then let us know.

Okay, I have adobe and arcsoft on my pc. But I don't know how to get one of those programs to open pictures instead of windows paint(it is paint that opens them and gives me a chance to color them. Adobe would be prefered over that.

Is it windows paint? If all you have, is Paint then yes that is all the pictures will open up with. Why not install Adobe on your machine?

Well if you set the desktop picture to center is should adjust to fit. You might need to change your resolution.

I have my resolution set at 600x800. The pictures are normal size and look good on my wifes pc. When I put in the disk on mine and open up the pics they are huge. Could it be that I need to install a photo program? I use my pictures whatever is on windows 2000 to view them.

At that resolution 1200x1000, the images will not look right, these pictures are that your desktop picture? If it is the desktop background, then you can select it from center or stretch title.

I tried that and put it at 800x600 or close to that, I don't remember now. The pics are still oversized, pixels at 1200x1000? I have an option to view 'best fit to page' but I can't get the change to hold on the pictures it always goes back to large size.

Right click anywhere on the desktop, left click "properties", left click the "Settings" tab on the upper left.

There should be a slider to adjust the resolution near the lower left.

Larger numbers means smaller fonts/icons.
