Here are the requirements http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/buyorupgrade/capable.mspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsvista/aa905075.aspx http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=31815 Any Windows OS will use all the RAM you give it, so the more the better, Vista is about multitasking and GUI experience, so you will want to make sure you have some RAM in their, so with that said I would get at least 2GB, thou I cannot say for sure being that I have not used Vista. 3-4 to run it well? Well it surely will run well with 3-4, but I doubt you need that much, just depending on what you are doing with your system thou. Vista cannot be deleted? It should be able to run fine on older CPU’s I am not sure about the Ipod programs not being able to run with Vista. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Does anyone know the real story on this thing. I have heard from H-P and Dell that 1. it takes 1g of ram to run the home version and 2g for the premium. So you need 3-4g of ram to run it well. Are they just selling ram? 2. Vista cant be deleted and XP reloaded if there is a problem. 3. some of the older processors cant handle Vista. 4. Vista Home will not support some of the ipod programs. All this might have been adressed before, I dont know. Item #1 I dont doubt. Item #2 and #3 I do doubt. Item #4?? IP: Logged |
