How big are the files? With an email attachment you would not be able to attach a big file, but with a CD you can put at least a 700MB file on the drive or at least 690MB, or you might want to try this http://www.mediamax.com/ but you better have a high speed connection if you want to use this depending on how big the files you have are.

how to decrease size of large files, software prog's, folders, huge data file so they cover less space(compress) and can be stored in CD or attached along with email.

I have tried winzip but size remains the same, i have lost some important info stored by me on HDD , thats why i dont want to take chances
