Don’t know what a Windows DOS is, there is a command line or prompt, so it sounds like you can boot off the disk and can get to a command prompt have you read this http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp#top ------------------ For every problem, there is a solution. I have never used it but in your BIOS is it set to boot off the cd 1st? ------------------ For every problem, there is a solution. Please give what you can to the Hurricane relief http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/citizenship/giving/relief.asp IP: Logged |

I would like to use windows memeory diagnostic tool to check my memory. I went through all the steps from the website where I found the tool. I don't have a floppy drive so I created the ISO file for a CD. The instructions said to burn the file to a disk as a bootable disk. I used Nero to make the bootable disk using the "burn bootable CD" option in the program. But when I put the CD in the drive and restart my computer I get a DOS prompt but can't run the tool. Are you guys familiar with this diagnostic tool? And do you know what I might be doing wrong? -Joe IP: Logged |
