Josh; I use windows ME... I got it fixed. I went into programs; clicked on the folder named HP; and deleted everything I thought was printer related. Then reinstalled the PSC 1401 software...and whalla...it worked. Thanks for coming to my rescue at any rate. IP: Logged |

A couple weeks ago my computer crashed so I had to do a recovery from the operating system. I just tried to use my scanner and it would not work. (this is the first since that crash) I deleted the scanner files for it; then did a reload; from the CD that came with the scanner. It does not seem to want to recognize the scanner...something wrong in the configuration I think. Get a error that no hardware is recognized. I have tried this process for 3 times now; and am getting frustrated. :-( I can use the printer and copier; I have the HP PSC 1401; all in one. Print, Scan, Copy. Scanning function will not work. I have went to the HP site and tried downloading their software; natta..also tried new drivers. Tried a different USB cord also; natta. Unpluged and repluged; natta. Spoke nicely to it; natta.... :-D Any ideas? I had a new drawing to share...might have to take a digi pic of it.. IP: Logged |
