Thanks for the reply, Josh. I did as you suggested. Unfortunately it didn't work. I still get that same icon when attempting to download. Do you think it would solve the problem if I reinstall IE?

Try this go to Internet Options, that is in tools at the top, then go to security- then go to trusted sites hit default level and hit yes, then hit apply. Then while still in Internet options, go to Advanced then go to restore advanced settings. If you cannot find the advanced tab, it is the last tab on the Internet options Window.

I'm using Win98 SE and IE 6.

Whenever I attempt to download anything, IE changes to a blank page with only a small image icon (similar to what you get on a web page when the picture is missing, only it's not broken). There is no error message, just this image. I've cleared the cache and cookes, restored all defaults in Internet Options and also tried the IE Repair - no success. Any other ideas?
