What you most likely need to do is disable system restore, to do this go here http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001012513122239 this will disable and delete all the restore points that have been made. Once you have it disabled go here, housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp and delete any virus that may be found. After that then enable system restore and do a virus scan again. Let us know if you have any problems. I am also moving this to the Cyber Safety forum you can go to your topic here: http://www.footslog.com/board/Forum18/HTML/000526.html ------------------

The C:\Restor folder has virus's in it. 10 files to be exact with the .cpy extention. When I look in there it does not have the files there. The virus program lists them and heals them but they apear again each time I do a scan. Is this folder only used when the system starts up and is hidden from me? I have used the view all files to no avail. The folder is semi dull and the folders in there are semi dull meaning that this is the case.(system use only). How do we remove the virus? Sue.
