I have no idea why they told you to reinstall Notepad, and how it relates with PC Chillin. I do not think you can reinstall Notepad without having to reinstall the OS, I can help you reinstall WordPad though. If you are talking with Trend Micro via email, can you ask them why you need WordPad in order to have PC Chillin to work? Is it to view a txt file or something? Because if it is then WordPad can view txt documents also. Anyway, you will need your Windows Me cd-rom, put the disc in the drive, and when the windows pops up, you can just close it. Then go to start-settings-control panel, then go to add remove programs. Then go to Windows setup, then go to Accessories, and if you see Notepad in there, uncheck it, then hit apply and ok, then reboot your computer. When your computer is back up, do the same thing, but this time when you unchecked it, you must now check it and then hit apply and ok, and reboot. However I do not think Notepad will be available in that menu. ------------------

I recently had a problem trying to install PC-Cillin's Internet Security 2004 anti-virus program. Trend Micro Systems' customer support did an exhaustive review of my computuer (which runs Windows ME) and told me to (re) install Wordpad. How do I do this? Many thanks for any advice. IP: Logged |
