when i run norton now it does not find anything on the system virus or anything else either. Even if i wait for the system to boot up completely, i still get the error.

When i say Work offline and then connect to the intenrnet i get like 50+ pop ups with links and babe and what not on em.

I had those as well a while back. I found if you let Windows finish loading everything before trying to connect to the Intenet they don't appear when you do try to connect.

Yes i have norton 2007 and have scanned the system a couple of times. I download a couple of adware and malware removal tools as well but they were like a demo version and i wasn't able to fix much with them.

Okay are you on any kind of home network? And have you scanned for spyware and viruses?

Hey bro,

Tried that didn't work. Let me try and explain again. As soon as my computer starts up i get this pop up box from internet explorer which says Work Offline or try again. If i click on Work Offline it goes away but if i click on Try Again the pop up keeps coming up, if i am conneted to the internet then i get like 50 or so pop up boxes with ads on them of various types.

I'm sick of this man.

Thanks for all your help.

What are the ads, SPAM ads? Sounds like the Messanger service is not off, or could be something else.

I have this weird error that i am struggling to fix any help with be appreciated.

When i boot my system i get an IE Pop up box which gives me two options "Work Offline" or "Try Again" if i click on work offline the pop up box goes away but if i click on try again it keeps coming up over and over again. This is when i am not connected to the internet but i if i am then i get 15 or 20 pop up which have ads and what not on em.

Need help here guys. Have run Norton 2007, went to msconfig started it on diagnostic startup and the error does not show up. Tried disabling a few startup items but it still shows up.
