If you want you can format C in Windows with Disk Management more info here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309000 I guess that Media Center is on your D drive, so by using Disk Management delete that partition, then format C with NTFS and then you should be able to boot off the CD and have Vista install on C:\, and because you have Media Center on D, you will have a dual boot system. Meaning when you start the computer, you can either use Media Center or Vista. Let us know if you have any problems.

Hey Josh,

My black w/white text boot screen looks like this-

Please select operating system to start:

Windows XP Media Center Edition
Unidentified operating system on drice C.

Drive C says: FAT32 4.64GB. But only 5.37MB available

Josh, I don't care which drive vista goes on. I just want to be able to install it. Use it.

Cheers, man!

First prob. In my boot screen it says "Unidentified system in partition C" What? How?
Second. when I try to install Vista it says I don't have enough space on disk C!

Are the two related?
Please help!

Cheers!
