Sounds like a device is not being used. If you right click the My computer icon go to properties then go to hardware, then go to device manager then look for any devices that have a !, ?, or X and then let us know what those devices are.

The message says Local Area Connection a Network cable is unplugged.

The other day I was messing with the control panel looking at local connection and the wizzard. I must have done something wrong.

Okay if you take your mouse and place it over the two little computers, do you see a information bar, if so what does it say? I need to know what that says, or can you right click it and then go to properties? Does it say what the device is listed as? As far as the phone try this http://phonetray.traysoft.com/index.htm see if that helps you and then let us know. You are welcome for the help, glad we are able to help you.

Second problem-- How do you get the computer to let you know their is a phone call.\
\Just a thank you for all your help. I am a 60 year old lady that knows nothing. LOL
