If you have winzip you can put those files in there [extract them to it] and then password protect. I forgot how but I could figure out if you wanted me to. Lemme know if you have it. IP: Logged |

Well that password protection will only protect the files you tell it to nothing else. If you had the setup, to where you were the Admin only and if need be make the other users power users debuggers etc... If you save it in word then you can have Word protect that one file or if you have permissions setup then you can change attributes assign Policies and that would protect people from getting access, but you don’t want the whole thing locked down just that one file. And this file is just a webpage right? Is this a page on the Internet or on your Intranet? ------------------ Powered by Intelligent Computing Solutions. For every problem, there is a solution. Not what I was looking for. I just saved some web pages to a file in my documents. Anyone using my computer can access this file. I don't want to passord protect my entire computer. I just would like windows to require a password when opening just this one file. I'm surprised no one has encountered this problem/request before and that there isn't any software to do this???? Would you be able to make other profiles? I found this http://www.mtopsoft.com/htmllock/index.htm I don’t know if this is what you want. If you want to protect a word document, or even a webpage that is in Word, you can do so by going to tools-protect document and then make your changes from there. Or to setup a password which will be needed to open the document and or modify it, open the file, then go back to tools-options-security then set your password hit protect document then hit okay and your document will be protected.
