I have Windows XP SP2
even though the solution u offered was for Win2000 i still went on and tried it without success.
i m still having the same problem

I think my PC was upgraded from Win2000 thus the system folder WINNT instead of WINDOWS.

i am getting the message above when trying to install 'netterm'. a program that runs telnet applications to our database server
