Okay let’s break it down. On the back of your current machine, where you plug the cable into your Ethernet port, pull that cable out, then plug that cable into the Ethernet port into the laptop. Don’t use an extra cable use the one going from the cable or DSL modem into the back of you current system and then take that one and then plug it into your laptop. You might need to install your Verizon software onto your laptop. If you need any help then let us know.

Do you have a wireless rou ter configuration setup at your house? If your laptop is wireless then you wholuld be able to get on the Internet. So lets say you go to a coffe shop, or an airport then you can browse the Net without having to do anything. But at your house you need to setup a wireless configuration. Now not wireless, you could either plug a boardband connection if you have cable or DSL wire into your laptop, or you could plug the phone line into your laptop if you have a dial up connection, also installing the software. How do you connect to the Net at home now before the new laptop, if at all?
