It's a long time ago I had to find a cure for this and if I remember correctly just type EXIT at that CMD prompt.

Try this when your computer first boots up press the F8 key until you get to a menu, try to boot windows normally if that does not work go back to the menu then boot into safe mode run msconfig then make the changes apply and ok and then reboot the computer.

I pulled up msconfig and on the boot.ini tab i checked the safe mode with command prompt only on accident and applied it so now when i booy up i get a command prompt screen and no way of changing it back to normal mode or windows. does anyone know the command. i have a dell dimension 2400 512 memory 2.6 proc. windows xp pro
