Well if you leave your computer and not working on it and your idle CPU usages is 91-99% then this actually means that your CPU is working, and is just one percent from working at maximum workload, and that is not good. Go here http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_scriptuse.html and post a silent runners log------------------ Powered by Intelligent Computing Solutions. ------------------------ www.footslog.com For every problem, there is a solution. Hi JoshMy computer is still freezing. Like I said before it varies as to when it does this. I checked my CPU usage which fluctuates between 4% & 13% usually, while I am on a website. The system idle is running at 91-99 CPU, which I heard means my computer is basically bored.....nothing to do. I have 35 processes running in Task Manager, I haven't a clue what some of them are. I disabled everything on startup in msconfig, just to see if that helps. But so far no real change. I'm stumped! IP: Logged |

Yea the only thing with that is that if you do not delete the complete program entries still remain in the registry such as this one is. Well if you do not use PC eye then you do not have to install it back. But as far as the log you showed me I see no other problems. Is your computer still acting strange? How is the CPU usage at? Does it stay fairly high, most of the time?------------------ Powered by Intelligent Computing Solutions. ------------------------ www.footslog.com For every problem, there is a solution. Hi Josh, I have just realised which file the LSP is after clicking on the link you gave me. It is from my PC Eye 2000, I noticed after my friend did the registry cleaner that PC Eye didn't work anymore. I thought I could just un-install Pc Eye, as I don't use it anyway. But after I un-installed it a few days ago, my problem got worse. The mouse was moving in staggered movements & wouldn't let me click on anything. I had to re-start the computer, which seemed to correct the problem. But a few hours later it did it again. So I did a system restore to a few days before i un-installed PC Eye, which seemed to eliminate that problem. Do I need PC Eye on my computer? IP: Logged |

I have a feeling that the 2 files that are missing were removed by a friend of mine who was trying to help, by running a free trial of registry cleaner. I don't believe he did a back up before he went ahead & deleted the so-called harmful files. So that may very well be why they are missing? If you require any more information let me know what to do. Thanks Toni IP: Logged |

You are welcome for the help okay let’s download Process explorer, use that instead of task manager. www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html - The view might be a little confusing but once you know what is going on, this too is really helpful. You will see all process running lets take a look at that. Go to file and then save as, save the text and then post that here. Well basically the LSP is a layer that is integrated into the TCP/IP protocol. TCP/IP is the common protocol for Internet connection. There are many layers or steps for the communication process. Lets say you want to order a pizza, well the pizza has to be made in a certain correct order, finally being the finished product in what you see. Well with TCP/IP and different layers the process is the same. So with LSP being integrated into the Transmission protocol, good data that enhances your Internet Experience could be used, but if Spyware installs on your machine and that Spyware could use LSP to install bad software or hijack your browser. Or what also could happen is what is called a false positive, where it may look bad but it is really not. But in your case a file in the LSP is missing, because either it is corrupted, or it got deleted somehow. So whatever LSP uses the file lsp32.dll is gone and upon further investigation, this looks like to be a false positive if you go here http://castlecops.com/lsps-l.html you will see that Lsp32.dll is not a bad file, but the file missing could mean that this file as I said before is corrupted, or the file that points to that DLL is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. So you know a little about LSP’s then from that you know what this particular LSP does. So you can either leave that file or you can delete it or reinstall the corresponding application. Now this O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} – "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing) This file is related to MSN Messenger, most likely somewhere within your browser, it appears that the protocol allows data transfer through a port (like a traffic lane) and this file is missing. Again this file is not harmful, but it is common practice when you see an entry in a hijack log with a file missing by it, to have it fixed. You can make a backup of the files you will delete if you wish to restore them later Do you have any Spyware scanners on your computer? ------------------ Powered by Intelligent Computing Solutions. ------------------------ www.footslog.com For every problem, there is a solution. Hi Josh, thanks for getting back to me. The screen, cursor etc freezes for around 10-20 seconds. I move the mouse & nothing happens. This happens at different times. Sometimes it doesn't happen for hours, but other times it's every 10 minutes. I checked out my event viewer, to see what errors it said had occured at the times it was freezing. I noticed one error in particular that said something about the mouse buffer speed was overflowing. I adjusted the buffer speed, but it didn't seem to make much difference. I uninstalled my mouse & have replaced it with my Wacom graphics tablet. I dont have that error message anymore, but it doesnt seem to have any errors listed that coincide with the times that the computer freezes. What are the two files that you listed to do with? Are they important & do I need to replace them?IP: Logged |

I don’t see anything that would cause your machine to slowdown. These items are registry entries/files that are missing. When you say slow down does it completely stop? Does this happen at a certain time or random? O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'lsp32.dll' missing O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} - "C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing) ------------------ Powered by Intelligent Computing Solutions. ------------------------ www.footslog.com For every problem, there is a solution. My computer freezes for at least 10 seconds every half an hour or so. I read an old post on here that was a similar problem to mine. So i followed the instructions & used the free hijack this scan. Can anyone help & tell me if there is anything wrong with my computer. I have checked Task Manager to see what program is running but it happens so quick I can't see which program it is.
