Just answered my own question trawling the web!

I did not set full permissions on the Sharing permissions that where only set to read.

I have a very strange Win XP problem with access to a share a share on our windows 2003 server. A user on a Win XP computer is able to access one of the shares with no problem but totally unable to create any directories etc, it is as if they only have read access. The strange thing is she has full Permission to the share and there are no denying permissions set for any of the groups.

If I log into the share from a Mac the username has full control and you can create and modify directories all day.

I’m completely stumped as to why this would be. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
