The version of Office I WAS using is MS Office 200 SRI - Standard. I was attempted to 'tidy up' and make more space when I deleted...next time I will just be messy. I guess I will have to purchase again ? Thanks alot for your help

I deleted your other post and I am putting it in this one. Unfortunately an MSI file is an installer file. Without this you will be unable to reinstall Office. How did you delete the program?

" uninstalled Microsoft Office by mistake...as I have no disks to reinstall I was advised to roll back system by doing a system restore...I have done this and Office appears to be back, however when I try to open any office program windows installer gives me a msg as follows; "The feature u r trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" It tells me to try an alternate path containing the installation package DATA1STD.MSI.......I am a complete novice and am now very lost.
Any help/advice would be appreciated greatly"

What version of Office did you uninstall? And does that error message happen when you open any Office application? Sounds like a feature is still missing.

Use your "System Restore" feature in the Help menu and roll the PC back to a time before you did the uninstall.
