finally i can resolve my trouble, i go to the regedit, looking for somethig called folder or directory in the first folder of the directory value must be in "none" so the explorer open the folder in the same window and without using any other software

If you do a restore it should not delete your files you made like word documents have a look at this have a look here http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/app_system_restore_hss_understand.mspx

If you go to folder options have you clicked restore defaults?

i dont want to do a restore because it says it will erase every file created or modifided before the point of restauration, and i cant find in the reg the apropiate registry to change this option

hi a few days ago i was changing the icons in my folders i dondt know what i have done but now i cant open the folders in the same window it open in a new window , i try to change the option of open all folders in same window but it wont work anyone knows how can i change this? i dont know if in the registry or somewhere around
