What you could do, is convert the MIDI songs to either wav or mp3 format and burn them that way. That also could be a problem copyrighted music. If you wish to convert then you will need a converter. As I said before you could try the XP built in burning service to see if that will work. If you want I can look for a converter for you, I cannot promise I will find a free one for you, but most likely a trial or very limited converter.

Josh, my son found burnrite and installed it so no instructions. He had bought me the sony cd writer I have and with it came a cd burner and I cannot remember the name, however, he deleted it when he built me this new xp that I have.

I tried to copy a few of the midi files I listen to, to real player that is installed but it would not burn with several msgs that the songs were copyrighted etc. I don't think they are but, it didn't work.

Maybe I am trying to do something that can't be done, but I am trying to find out how to use this dbpoweramp converter I have.

Thanks

You are welcome, I actually looked up some information on burnwrite yesterday but could not find any thing, I am not sure if the homepage of the software is burnwrite.com because it is all in German. In your manual does it list a website or not about support information?

Hi Josh, since you have been gracious enough to offer, I would appreciate it at YOUR CONVIENCE!

I was thinking when I installed dbpowerampconverter, that I could some how load midis to it and convert them to wave or someother player on that system, but, again I am not knowledgeable in the matters but want to try and figure it out.

I tried to look up burnwrite instructions and I found a limited amount, when I burn the music stored on my copy and put it in the burnwrite cd burner, and then when I burn it it looks like it is copying but it does not. So I don't know what is going on.

Thanks for your offer!!

You are welcome I am not familiar with burning music in Real Player, I know that you can, but do not know how. Windows Media Player can also burn files, but I have not done it in such a long time I can hardly remember how to burn music files. The burning feature that is installed in XP, it is not a program that you can actually use like a normal program, it is built into the OS as a service. Basically what this means is that it runs in the background where you cannot see it, and the burning program only goes to work when you use the method below. If you would like to use brunwrite I can look it up on the Internet so that I can see how to burn files and use the program.

1. Burnwrite cd burner
2. Real Player
3. Windows meadia player

Josh, real player was installed so I could copy some ram music which is not downloadable.

Have not be able to burn anything on burnwrite.

3. Wasn't aware that windows media was installed but when I looked on cdrive and got the installed I didn't see anything about a cd burner.

Will await you reply and Thanks.

A new feature of Windows XP, is that it has built in cd burning support, although the feature is limited you can still burn recordable cd’s. To do this, you can simply copy the file you want to burn by either right clicking the file and selecting copy. Or if they are many files you can press Ctrl A at the same time to select all the file and then hitting Ctrl C to copy the files, then go to my computer, double click the icon that is your cd recordable drive then a window will open now click paste and the items you have just copied should appear in that window. Now look on the left side of window for write these files to a cd, hit that and the wizard will tell you and write the files for you. That is it and you should be able to play MIDI files with Windows Media Player or another music player. Let us know if you have any problems.
