What version do you have? There are utilities on the Symantec site to remove several versions of their program.

You gotta know a program is bad when you need special equipment to extract it from your system.

Hopefully after you have done a system restore then the icon has come back. If not then let us know, I looked at the Symantec website, and they do not have instruction on how to manually remove your version, I may have to find a more up to date version and use that as a guide to manually remove yours.

This pc has Symantic antivirus installed and I want to remove it. As you might have seen in my last post that I have no add/remove program icon and that makes it difficult. I do not have the install disk either, so cannot uninstall it that way. There is no uninstall in the program. Please help.

Sue.
