Go here, run the virus scan housecall.trendmicro.com if any virus are found, then delete them. Then go here http://www.footslog.com/board/Archives/Archive-000003/HTML/20050327-16-000026.html download Adaware, Spybot, and MS Antispyware run them all one after another, delete any items that are found. Then let us know if your computer is still slow. It is always best to use the copy of Windows that came with your comuter, not another one. Let us know if you need anymore help.

Ok, here's the deal folks...

I have had many many issues with this lame computer of mine. I got it in 2002, had to do system recovery 3 times. I finally get it working again, and now, I only have 3% memory left! I will admit, that I rarely ran virus scan and all of that other jazz that you're supposed to run every couple of weeks, and since I've started (after finding out that only 3% of my memory isn't used), I find out that I have several infected files. Don't really know what to do about those, seeing that I know nothing about computers or how to fix a problem. I try and delete things that I don't need, which doesn't help much. I guess there is no turning back when you only have 3% left. And, my question is, is there anything that I can do to fix this? Or is my computer working properly again hopeless?

I'm thinking maybe that since I have done system recovery so many times, it has taken up memory? But I am probably wrong about that. The first time I tried system recovery, it didn't work. And this is probably where I made my mistake...instead of using the disks that came with my computer, I instead used my boyfriends copy of Windows XP. I have none of the original programs that came with my computer on my computer any longer. Just the basic Windows XP stuff. So, I'm thinking that maybe that was a bad move, who knows? Perhaps I should just get rid of this computer, it gives me no pleasure, only headaches!

Sorry if this post is all over the place, but I'm all over the place, so it's only a reflection of how confused this computer business makes me!
