You don't save it to Outlook, you save it to a file, give the file an easy to remember name.

When you are done you go to the system that needs the contacts and run import from the Outlook file menu, import using the file you exported to.

Where should I save the file? I don't see where I can save it to Outlook. If I save it to documents or desktop, how do I get it back in Outlook?

Where did you save the file at? If you still cannot find it then try what Wedor suggested.

If you chose "Export to a file" you can save it as "Comma Separated Values(Windows)"

You can choose where to save the file, follow the same prompts when importing.

I haven't done this a ton but one of my clients has and she swears by it.

I believe I did this correctly but I cannot find anything. What did I do wrong, do you think?

Try this if you open up Outlook, go to File-Import & Export-Outlook then go to Export-Export to a file-Personal Folder file, then you need to select where your contacts are at. After you do that, make your selection about duplicate entries; specify where you want to save this file at then click finish. The PC you want to put the contacts on, go back to Import & Export-Outlook-Import-Import form another program or file-Personal folder file, again make the selection about duplicate entries, and then specify where the folder you just saved is, then click next, I could not get to the next screen, because I do not have any PST files on this machine, so I do not know what screen will come up after that. It might be where to save the file at, just use the default one. If that is not it then let us know.

How do I transfer Outlook contacts data to another computer? At work we have a two computer network I guess one would say - I have the wireless laptop and the other person the desktop. She accidently deleted the contacts on Outlook. I did a system restore and it didn't work. The contacts are the same on both computers. Any help? Thanks, Marilyn
