Okay go ahead and change your home page to what you want, then see if it will stay that way or not.

What antispyware programs do you have on your computer? If you have Spybot installed, then you can go to tools-browser pages, you should see a list of home pages on your computer, from their you could change and delete home pages. But that will not do any good if you have spyware that will just change the registry entry back. So you need to delete them, so run Adaware, Spybot, MS antispyware. If these scans do not remove everything then we can run a hijack scan.

If you are really paranoid, add the free Microsoft AntiSpyware as well as Spybot Search and Destroy. It's a real nuisance to keep everything updated, however.

Your ISP might also furnish additional protection software, but there sometimes gets to be too much. Too many "hoops" for data to get through slows down such things as video or audio streaming.

all of the sudden my home page is changed. we ran ad aware and it found like 42 things. but then we got back online and it is still changed. to about:blank

and then there were 3 "favorite" links that I had not added about some porn sites.

what else do I do besides ad aware?
