The pop up box, comes up when you go into msconfig and uncheck some items, selective startup is okay. Sure, we can help you on what services to stop, so far which ones have you stoped from loading? ------------------

I removed some programs via start->run->config. I now get a message telling me windows is starting up in diagnostic or selective mode. it encourages me to go to the general tab to "normal start up" to restore original start up drives and applications. is selective mode ok or am i better off running the normal start up. i am also wondering if it is ok to remove some of the services from config. if that is ok can you guide me on what services are safe to remove?
