Try plugging a PS2 or USB keyboard into one of the ports on the laptop, and it should work that way. ------------------

i guess it is a hardware problem. i had our IT person re-image it and still the key isn't working. IP: Logged |

If it is the only key not working and it works intermittently it is indeed a hardware problem. IP: Logged |

On your laptop, all you have is on Ctrl button? Do all the others keys work? ------------------

Removed the keyboard to check the connection. Everything looks fine. But key is still not working. IP: Logged |

I have a R51 IBM thinkpad and all of a sudden my CTRL key is not working. Sometimes it does but a lot of times its not. I was told that its not a hardware problem. Checked the connection inside the keyboard and everything looks fine. Need help!! IP: Logged |
