Actually, I just thought of an easier way to do it. We have two computers. I think I will just send the emails I want to keep to our other computer, delete Incredimail, and then email them back to me. I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. Thanks for your help! IP: Logged |

Thanks Josh for the info! I had already tried to send a couple of emails back to myself and then open them up in Outlook Express, but found that didn't work. I assumed, too, that Incredimail won't let me do that because they want me to keep using their stuff. I wish I had known that in before I tried it. I will try your next idea and see if that works. I do not know if this will work, but I found this "IncrediConvert ========= IncrediMail doesn't allow you to export your email-messages, guess they want to force you to keep using their software. This application exports your IncrediMail message-stores to plain .eml-format (plain text) to a subdirectory to yourIncredimail MessageStore directory. After you converted your IncrediMail folders you can drag the .eml files from Explorer and drop them to any OultookExpress folder you want and the files are restored. I haven't tried to export other email-applications but I believe that most of them will be able to import .eml messages. Each IncrediMail folder stores its messages in two files -- *.imh and *.imm -- the .imh file is a index-file to .imm where the messages are stored. Attachments are stored in separate files, this application inserts these messages (if found) and either decodes them as base64 (binary files) or as they are (plain text). I converted several thousand files and they all seem to work fine. Some of the messages you import may be marked for deletion, i.e. they don't show up in your IncrediMail folders but they still are in the message-storage file, these messages will also e converted. http://www.mailhilfe.de/Download/IncrediConvert.zip" Source: http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/win98/t1027609833 I don't know if that download is any good or not, or if that file may harm your computer. ------------------

I don't know if you cannot do that, the only way I can think of, is send all the emails back to your inbox, and then Open up Outlook get the emails you just sent to your inbox, with Incredimai, and then it will be in your email inbox, and then you can get it in your local folders in Outlook. If you open up, Outlook and then go to file-export, and you will see the email clients you can export from. If I find another way I will let you know. ------------------

I have been using Incredmail for a while, but have decided to go back to Outlook Express. There are multiple emails that I would like to keep that are on Incredimail. Is there a way to copy them over to Outlook Express? Any help is much appreciated! IP: Logged |
