That keyboard is made for Windows 95, there are likely no drivers for XP that will work with it. IP: Logged |

I just got this used pc w/XP. Amoung the problems I'm having are these two keyboard issues: 1-PC won't go into standby mode. Notice indicates an error re: keybrd driver. I've tried to update driver but system won't allow me to add any other drivers. It does a search and says that current driver is working ok.The driver listed is not for the keybrd I'm using. ? 2-I tried to change keybrds but the 'new' one would not work at all. Finally, I used the add hardware accessary to change to the new board and it seemed to work, until I noticed that all I could do was type. None of the other keys would respond. I tried to find a driver at the manufacturer's web site, but the one I need is not listed and I'm having trouble contacting them via email. When I click on their email links a window opens for the previous owner's MSN messenger service, which of course is of no use to me. Anyway, bothe the keybrd I'm using and the one I want to use, are made by PC Concepts. The one I'd like to use is a model KWD 203, item # 61565. Thanks for your help. dar IP: Logged |
