Why are you using the network set-up wizard? What are you trying to accomplish?

I am creating a network of 4 computers. Two have xp pro and two have nt. The two xp pro computers are networked together. I have not put the two nt ones on the this network yet. They are still networked together on a separate hub. I have 5 Static IP addresses and have assigned each of the two xp pro computers a Ip address and both are working, have access to the internet.

When I go through the network setup wizard it says I should not assign an IP address to each of the computers on the internet. Why not? I have the IP addresses paid for. It says that it will create a firewall for each of them and that this will prevent each of them from communicating with each other. Why?

What are my choices?

I rather assign each its own IP address so I can call in to each one from home. How can I set this up and still be somewhat secure?

Thanks
