Are you sure you do not want to use SCSI? It is much faster then IDE. How to install an SCSI hard drive can be found here http://scsi.radified.com/scsi_01.htm If you want to get IDE then you will need to buy an IDE RAID controller card, you can look at www.promise.com when you start the computer you will need to press F6 to get the RAID drivers. I don’t know what kind of motherboard you have but have a look at this, this explains how to setup RAID, http://www.intel.co.nz/support/motherboards/desktop/ig/os_setup_xp.htm if you buy a controller card then that should come with documentation on how to do what you want to do. I am going to move this to hardware you can go to your question here: http://www.footslog.com/board/Forum5/HTML/000354.html ------------------ To every Problem there is a Solution. ------------------------ I love Ciela ------------------------ [This message has been edited by Josh1 (edited December 06, 2003).] IP: Logged |
