I'm working with a neighbor and will be able to see if your suggestions work for her. Very helpful. Thanks.

Okay in McAfee, there is some setting that you must switch off that will allow your mail to come through. Now I don’t use McAfee, but are you familiar with these settings, or do you know where they are? This should help you on how to configure your firewall, so that your emails in Outlook can get past the firewall. If not then let us know, http://www.pestpatrol.com/Support/HowTo/How_To_Configure_McAfee_Firewall.asp

With most firewalls you have to "authorize" programs to have access to the Internet.

The problem. OS: XP-Home Outlook Express and McAffee AV including firewall.
When we load McAffee's AV including Firewall we cannot access Outlook Express Email.
When the firewall is uninstalled all works fine.
Any suggestions?
