Try this, Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM, holding down the SHIFT key to prevent AutoPlay. Open the Command prompt and type: Expand <CD-ROM_Drive>:\i386\sndvol32.ex_ %windir%\system32\dllcache\sndvol32.exe ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi all. I'd like to add the "volume control icon" to the task bar on my g/f's PC. I've gone into the sound part of the control panel. But when I try to activate the "place volume icon on the task bar" it says the volume control program is not installed. I've tried going into the "add / remove programs" part and "add Windows / Remove Windows Components." But there is no indication for adding any sound related features. I'm running Windows XP Pro. Can anyone help? IP: Logged |
