I began reading all the answers given before on this same type of problem. I reloaded the driver and it is now working beautifully! Thanks anyway.

Do you know what type of video driver or video card you have?

My second computer is a Compaq running Windows 98. My husband took it with him while working out of town (before he got the laptop) and it worked fine. He brought it home and now the display will only show 16 colors and everytime I change it back to the 256 colors it always just goes back to the 16 colors. My children cannot play their games on it. What can I do or what do I need to look at?
