Go to device manager by right clicking my computer, go to device manager then look for your cd drive, do you see any exclamation marks by that device? You may need to remove the device, by6 right clicking the device then hit remove. When you restart windows the device should install itself back. You may need your Windows 98 disc to reinstall the files.

My D drive has stopped working. 'Device not ready' System information says there is no disc in the drive when of course there is. anything I can do? Thank you.
