Description:

I have a Digital Equipment Corp. HiNote Ultra II CTS5120. I was wondering if you knew where the reset button on it is. It freezes frequently and I can't seem to turn it off. I have to take out the batter and wait a few minutes. There must be an easier way to reset it when it freezes. Please help...thank you very much

The Answer

There are many laptops that are built like yours.  The power switch is hardware controlled, so when the laptop freezes up, the power switch or the keyboard will not respond.  Unfortunately, the only way to reset it is to remove all power sources, which means removing the battery.  So, to my knowledge and what is available from Digital, there is no external reset button on your laptop.
