My computer keeps shutting down on it's own, but seems to do it only when I am trying to get onto or am on AOL, what should I do?

The Answer

This is most likely a result from AOL.  We have run across this problem before with AOL users.  First, download the latest AOL, which is AOL 5.0 and install it.  If you already have it, reinstall AOL 5.0.  You can download it from AOL's web site.

If you press your Start button you should have a button called Windows Update.  Get online and press this button.  It will take you to Microsoft's web site and offer you the latest patches to Windows 98.  When you get to the web site select Product Updates.  Select all the Critical Updates that it finds for your computer and install them.

This should solve your problem.
