Description:

I would like to uninstall Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0. BUT, when I go into 'Add/Remove Hardware and Software' in the Control Panel IE5 does not appear on the list. How should I proceed?

My copy of IE5 was provided on CD ROM by my ISP.

The Answer

It seems your IE5 was not completely installed successfully.  The easiest way to uninstall it would be to reinstall IE5 and then uninstall it from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.  You should reinstall it because it will make the system registry modifications where it didn't make them the first time.  Then you will see IE5 show up in the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.  Last,  you can run the Uninstall and it will remove it from your system.

To reinstall it, just enter the CD and install it like you did the first time.
