The Answer
The system file checker checks for damaged or
replaced system files, and should prompt you to replace any files that do
not match the original Windows 98 files.
Windows 98 has apparently found some system files that
have changed or are corrupt. When it finds a corrupt file it should
prompt you for an action. You can Select the 'Restore File'
action. It will ask you where to get the file from. Place your
Windows 98 disk into you drive and point the program to the location of
the Windows 98 disk.
