Footslog Support - Ticket ID 12153 Completed

Date submitted: Tue, November 2 at 12:03:44
Category: Software
RAM: 330GB
Processor: Pentium
MHz: i don't know
Operating System: Windows 98
The problem:

I downloaded a new program for AOL instant messenger which allows me to physically talk to people, however I cannot get connected with others. Is there something to do with the proxy server? or do you have another solution for this?

Solution:
If you are using a proxy server you need to configure AOL instant messenger to use the proxy server. This is done under File -> My Options -> Edit Preferences. If it doesn't work, you can try the Java version downloadable from www.aol.com. The Java version works through your java capable browser (Internet Explorer 4 or better, Netscape Navigator 4 or better).
